Topic on October 9, 2026: African Americans in the Pennsylvania Line During the Revolutionary War
In 1778, the Continental Army tallied African American soldiers serving across various regiments. While only two Pennsylvanian African American soldiers were recorded, historical documentation indicates that additional African Americans served in Pennsylvania regiments during the Revolutionary War.
Join Matt White, Historian and Research Fellow for the Friends of Washington Crossing Park, for a presentation exploring the lives of several Pennsylvanian African American soldiers.
