From The State Museum exhibition "Picturing a More Perfect Union: Violet Oakley’s Mural Studies for the Pennsylvania Senate Chamber, 1911-1919." On May 21, 1955, Violet Oakley returned to the Pennsylvania State Capitol Building to tour her murals in the Governor’s Reception Room, the Supreme Court, and the Senate Chamber. This video - produced by The State Museum and Commonwealth Media Services - features excerpts of an audio recording of her remembrances of her "Unity" mural in the Senate Chamber in her own voice, from the collections of the Pennsylvania State Archives.
