When you hear that distinctive gobble, gobble sound, you know that a turkey is nearby. Turkeys are found throughout Pennsylvania’s forests, and sometimes we even see them in our backyards. Learn more about the eastern wild turkey in Pennsylvania and make a turkey craft to take home!

It’s winter in the woods. Join us for a Storytime reading of In the Snow: Who’s Been Here? by Lindsay Barrett George and follow the snow-covered trail with kids, William and Cammy. Clue after clue will reveal what animal has been there and left its trace behind.

Storytime programs are designed for ages 3 to 5.

Curiosity Kids: The Winter Solstice

Join Curiosity Kids to discover the importance of the Sun and how ancient cultures were far more aware of the Sun and its impact on our lives. Discover the motions of the Sun and their impacts on Earth. Celebrate these solar revelations by making your own symbols of the Winter Solstice.

Curiosity Kids programs are designed for visitors age kindergarten to grade 2. Programs are free, but space is limited. Please pick up a free ticket at the front desk when you arrive.
