Archaeological Research Internship

SHPO archaeologists speaking with visitors about site recording at the 2017 State Museum Workshops in Archaeology.

The Pennsylvania State Historic Preservation Office is seeking an archaeological research intern to help with the development of a proactive, statewide survey program: the Pennsylvania Archaeological Site Survey (PASS).  This will be an exciting opportunity to conduct research and analysis of existing statewide survey models, and the work will feed into a feasibility study and proposal for the expansion of the current PASS program.

The internship will include: research, analysis, and writing; mapping and data entry in CRGIS; and participation in archaeological survey and outreach efforts as the schedule allows.

For more information about the project and application deadlines download the word document at the bottom of the page.
