Beavers in Pennsylvania: A Species Revival
One of the most iconic species in North America, the American beaver was responsible for much of the European exploration and settlement of the continent. Unfortunately, this caused the extirpation from much of its native range, including what is now Pennsylvania.
Thanks to conservation minded Pennsylvanians, there has been a return of this species to the state. Join Thomas Keller, the state Furbearer Biologist with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, to learn why beavers are so critical to the ecological system and how humans can live with them in the future.
This free virtual program is presented via Zoom. Registration is required.
