Tour: Burd Coleman Village - Pre-registration Required

Saturday, October 4, 2025
Between 10am and 2pm - tours depart on the hour

Join us on a delightful and educational stroll through Lebanon
County’s beautiful community of Burd Coleman. Local historians Sue Wentzel and Mike Trump will lead participants on a walk among the village’s quaint stone structures as they teach us about its history, its relationship to the Cornwall mines, and the architecture of some of its unique homes and businesses.

Tours will be conducted on the hour between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 4th. Because spots are limited, we ask that you preregister by calling the Furnace at 717-272-9711. Registered participants will receive instructions the day before the event regarding parking and meeting locations.

Please note that the walking tours are about an hour in length and will require walking less than one mile over uneven sidewalks and slight inclines. Guests should wear appropriate footwear and dress for the weather.

Tours cost $5 per person (ages 2 and under are free), and your tour guide will take payment in cash on the day of the tour. All proceeds benefit the Friends of Cornwall Iron Furnace.
