Candlelight Open House

On Saturday, October 25, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM, explore the illuminated grounds and step inside the historic buildings to encounter costumed interpreters, skilled craftspeople, and historical demonstrators who will bring Ephrata’s past to life.
At this self-guided event, visitors will have the opportunity to experience many different stations with a variety of attractions, such as:
- Performances by the Ephrata Cloister Chorus in the 1741 Saal at 5:30PM, 6:30PM, and 7:30PM. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Wristbands are required for entry and are free with admission.
- A brief guided cemetery tour to learn more about Ephrata’s historic burial grounds.
- Vendors Ginny Good and Emily Smucker-Beidler will be displaying their unique and handmade wares and taking orders for them in the Visitor Center.
- A fireside telling of “The Ghost of Longmarsh Run… The Three Wives of Christopher Beeler.”
Admission to Candlelight Open House is $10/person. Members of the Ephrata Cloister Associates and children 3 and under receive free admission.
