Alison T. Young
The Honorable Alison T. Young currently serves as Managing Director of Leadership & Civic Engagement at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. In this capacity, Ms. Young also serves as Executive Director of the Institute for Strategic Leadership and is responsible for directing all aspects of the Institute, including strategy, operations and programming to position Drexel as a global leader in the study and practice of collaboration and leadership. As a nationally recognized expert on civic engagement and public service leadership, Ms. Young also serves as an on-air political analyst for CBS News. Ms. Young was recently selected as one of 10 U.S. leaders for an Eisenhower Fellowship, where she will travel to China to study the underrepresentation of women in public sector leadership positions in G20 countries.
Prior to joining the University, Ms. Young served as Vice President of External Affairs at the National Constitution Center. She came to Philadelphia from Washington, DC where she was a senior White House official, serving as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush and Acting Director of the White House Office of USA Freedom Corps (USAFC). Ms. Young earned a Bachelor’s degree from Grove City College (PA) and a Master’s degree from the George Washington University (DC). She is a community leader and active volunteer on the Board of the Society Hill Civic Association, Vice-Chair of the Young Friends Committee of the Academy of Music, the Advisory Board of the Garces Foundation, the Board of Directors of Let Them Rock Foundation, the Board of the Pennsylvania Heritage Foundation and the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Conference for Women. Ms. Young is a member of the Forum of Executive Women, the Union League of Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Society. She currently resides in Historic Philadelphia with her husband, daughter and rescue dog Reagan.
