Homeschool Programs

Museum curators and educators from The State Museum of Pennsylvania will lead seven programs designed specifically for homeschooled families.

October 4 The Dirty Science of Archaeology
November 8 Benjamin Franklin and Pennsylvania
December 6 Art of the State 2023 
January 10 Historical Archaeology
February 7 Scherenschnitte - the German Art of Paper Cutting 
March 6 The Women Who Made Pennsylvania
April 3 Urban Ecosystems* 

These programs will give homeschooled students and their families an opportunity to engage with museum curators and staff, ask questions, and work together. Families will experience a guided gallery tour, discussion about the day’s topic and hands-on family activities.

After the program, families may continue exploring the museum and enjoy Q & A with staff. 
Each program begins at 10:00 AM and is expected to last 2 hours. Programs will be open for a limited number of participants.

Registration and a non-refundable pre-payment is required.

$5 per participant for State Museum Affiliate Members
$10 per participant for non-Members
At least one adult is required to register with each family. All program participants must pay a fee regardless of age.

Deadline to register is 12:00 PM on the day prior to each program.
